The Promotional Marketing industry in Ireland is governed by laws and codes which have been devised in order to ensure that we act responsibly as an Industry.
To help our members ensure that all promotional activity is both legally and morally sound we have compiled a list of the current legislation governing the marketing and promotion of products in Ireland along with the relevant Codes of Practice. Click through the links to find the relevant documentation. This overview is provided for information only and the APMC recommends that individual legal advice should be sought when developing promotional marketing campaigns.
Hayes Solicitors are the AMPC’s legal partners. Hayes provide a full advertising and marketing legal service including review of advertisements and promotional materials for print, media, internet, television, radio and point of sale. They also provide advice on promotional marketing practices and advise on and assist clients in obtaining lottery licenses for the running of promotions. They provide pre-clearance of proposed adverts and always have regard to the relevant codes from the Advertising Standard Authority of Ireland, Regtel, the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland and any other relevant codes.
