The Advertising Standards Authority for Ireland (ASAI) is organising a significant seminar on Responsibility in Marketing Communications
Mr. Pat Rabbitte T.D., Minister for Communications, Energy & Natural Resources, will formally open the event. This is important for the industry since his Department has responsibility for broadcast, digital and on-line communications policy.
The subject of regulation will be addressed by Robert Madelin, Director General of DG Connect at the EU, who is a supporter of effective industry self-regulation. The other speakers include the Chairperson of the ASAI Complaints Committee, Dr. Bairbre Redmond, Deputy Registrar Teaching and Learning, UCD, and Mr. Edward McCumiskey, Chairman of the ASAI.
