Valerie has over 15 years’ marketing experience having worked on both agency and client side during that time. She started her career in Public Relations working with clients such as Eircell, Warner Brothers and L’Oreal before moving into a more marketing and event management focused role with CMS Marketing. She has worked on variety of campaigns for a wide range of clients during her 9 years with CMS Marketing including Samsung, Sony PlayStation, Kelkin and Coors Light. Valerie took up her role as Client Services Director with Verve the Live Agency in 2013. Val takes over the role of Chairperson of the Association in 2017.

Ian began his journey through agency land with Clockwork Management, helping to activate sponsorship for Guinness and Budweiser at a number of high profile events such as The 6 Nations, The Galway Races and various music and comedy events. From there he joined Publicis D where he is currently Account Director. Within Publicis D, Ian is responsible for the delivery of campaigns across a number of key accounts such as Renault, RCSI (Dublin & Bahrain), Tayto & DoneDeal.ie and during his time in Publicis has led numerous award winning campaigns both in Ireland and in Europe for his clients.

Simon is former Joint Managing Director of direction@JWT and has over 15 years experience in the Below The Line Industry. He founded InSight Marketing & Brand Services in early 2008 with a core focus on creating consumer action and reaction. Having worked with the APMC over the years mainly in a support role, he joined the Board in 2009 to manage Communications and PR for the APMC, he served as Chairman from 2013 to 2015. Simon is committed to re-engaging the APMC with Agency Principals, Client Service Teams and Clients alike, ensuring that the APMC communicates in a relevant and modern way, while listening to the wants and needs of Members in order to shape the future of the industry and the Association alike.
Richard joined the APMC Board in 2005. A graduate of TCD, Richard has been involved on the Agency side for over 15 years following 3 years working in education. Richard joined Pulse Marketing in May 2002 to head up Sales Promotion having worked with a number of agencies in the intervening years. Richard represents the APMC on the Board of the IMC, which is part of the European Association of Communications Agencies.

Emma has over 11 years experience in the marketing industry. Starting her career in PR, she worked with clients including Sony PlayStation, AIB on their sponsorship of The Ryder Cup and Centra. Emma moved to a broader Marketing role in 2012, joining Runway Marketing working with clients including C&C Gleeson (Bulmers), Brady Family Ham and Lindt. After spending time in Verve the Live Agency, Emma returned to Runway as Managing Director in early 2017. Emma is delighted to play an active role on the board of the APMC.
Niamh has extensive marketing experience from working in a number of different above and below the line agencies. Niamh is currently a Director and Head of Activation at Geometry @ Ogilvy and is responsible for developing business in different marketing channels on a number of key accounts including Jacobs, Diageo, SCA, Kellogg's and Stephen’s Green. She has excellent activation experience from her time at Ogilvy on these accounts and others including Cadbury & GSK. Prior to joining Ogilvy, Niamh worked in Creative Solutions, a below the line agency managing clients that included Irish Distillers, Tayto, Unilever, Johnson & Johnson amongst others. Niamh has above the line experience from her 5 years at McCann-Erickson in both London and Sydney working on a wide variety of FMCG, retail and pharmaceutical clients. As well as her commerce degree, Niamh also has a Post Graduate Marketing qualification, both from NUIG.

Bea has worked across every discipline in the marketing industry from graphic design agencies to PR companies, from sales promotion to advertising, from digital to direct marketing.
Having experience and expertise in each as well as working in integrated agencies for a number of years, Bea has a clear understanding what role each can perform in integrated solutions and the importance of the development of a big enough idea, which can be delivered in the most effective way, through the most meaningful channels.
In 2010, Bea moved to Irish International and has worked on Barry’s Tea, Avonmore, Guinness, Smithwick’s, Carlsberg, National Transport Authority, Pepsi, 7UP and Santa Rita Wines. Her previous experience includes Vodafone, Tipperary Crystal, SCA (Velvet Toilet Tissue, Plenty Kitchen Towel), National Gallery, Jacobs Fruitfield, ISPCC, Irish Life and eircom.
Working with multi-award winning teams, she is passionate about making work that works, based on clear market and consumer insights.

Jonny founded Imagine Marketing in 2005 creating an agency that specialises in experiential marketing, sales promotion and activation. A graduate of UCD and University of Ulster Jonny has been involved with the APMC in a support role until joining the Board in 2015. Over the last 10 years Imagine has grown into a multi award winning agency that counts the largest Irish and international brands and agencies among its client base. Jonny is dedicated to driving the agency forward and to create meaningful benefit within the APMC as a Board member.
